Stopped in for lunch today and got the steak and egg breakfast burrito with green chile. Order was completed quickly and tasted great! The tortilla was fantastic and the chile had great flavor. My only regret was that I didn't get two!

I really enjoy the burritos from Burrito Express. However, being a native New Mexican I like my chili HOT! So if you like hot chili, you probably won't like their chili. 2 out of the 3 times I've gone they messed up my order. It's very annoying & I should know better to check before driving all the way home. After today I will not be returning. I ordered nachos for the kids, the chips were stale. I ordered me a combo burrito with green chili and there was no chili in the burrito. It was full of bland hamburger meat and potatoes. Not worth the $ for something you could make at home!

Just ate a breakfast burrito which was an epic fail! Ingredients were: potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheese & green chile. Pretty standard right? First of all it's about 1.50 more expensive than lotaburgers version, and they're really thin & the tortilla is too thick for a skinny burrito. The green chile was entirely lacking flavor & heat. I am very disappointed and feel ripped off. Would've gave ZERO stars but that's how it is with yelp. As the saying goes "when you stray, you pay!!" Lotaburger, I'll gladly be back!

This place is a family tradition for me, we would eat here every time we would go to Roswell. A bean and cheese burrito with red chile, guacamole, and onions is my kind of comfort food. I'm thrilled it is branching out of Roswell and into new (closer) markets!

Had breakfast burritos here yesterday. I got my normal: bacon, potato, egg, cheese and green chile. I think they are the perfect size and their tortillas are so good! My husband didn't think his was big enough.

This place is yummy. Fresh and made to order. I love the breakfast burritos and the enchilada burrito.

Not impressed at all. I came because of a recommendation, but I will not be trusting that opinion again. Very little flavor and the green chile was hardly recognizable.

This is the worst breakfast burrito (or maybe second worst) I have ever had. The g/f recommended we eat breakfast here. Seeing as though I'm not from ABQ, I was really excited to try the local breakfast burrito. I'm originally from Los Angeles and I am a connoisseur of breakfast burritos. I figured NM with its Mexican roots would definitely serve up a killer gut bomb breakfast burrito replete w/ NM green chile that will blow my mind. Well, I didn't get that at Burrito Express. We went inside and it was super clean, but, there was no-one in there (bad sign #1). I got my breakfast burrito after ordering at the counter, unwrapped it, and was ......like a kid that gets underwear or socks for Christmas. It just looked SAD. Lacking soul of any kind. I ate about 1/3 of the burrito before I threw in the towel. It was on par with airplane food. Worst of all, g/f was super upset that I threw the burrito away. It just wasn't worth the calories ......all it would have served would have been to fill me up. PASS. If anyone in ABQ can tell me where I can get the best breakfast burrito in the city, please send me a message. Thank you!

If it were possible to give this place 1/2 star, I would do so. I had the WORST breakfast burrito I have ever had from this place. I have a friend who loves B.E., but I won't even go back to give it another chance. I had indigestion for hours after trying to eat the burrito---and couldn't eat more than about 1/3 of it. I shudder to think how I would have handled the entire thing. The only saving grace is that the person on "duty" really tried to do the burrito the way I wanted it--he failed.

Great burritos! Best burritos on the menu are the steak combo green and the egg and chorizo red or green, nothing better! Another favorite is the chile relent burrito. The tortillas are good with a homemade taste.

I live very close and it's drive up is quite convenient. I have ordered a few different burritos and pretty much just stick to their breakfast burritos. Their green and red sauces are both pretty good and the burrito size is not overwhelming but still enough. I wish they used a larger tortilla so that they could fold one end closed so the entire burrito isn't falling out on your lap if you happen to be driving while you eat it. Overall it's a decent burrito for a decent price.

The 2 things that saved this place from it's certain 2-star fate was the fact that they offer whole wheat tortillas and the friendly, efficient staff. My husband raves about this place since he stops there regularly. I was excited to try it since I was in RR for a bit. Let's talk about the burrito that I had. I ordered the egg, cheese, green chile, ham, and potato burrito. The service was quick and the price was reasonable for the size of burrito I received. If I had just had egg, cheese, green chile, and ham, this probably would have been a decent, flavorful burrito. But I had to add the potatoes! The potatoes were inconsistant. Some of them were (literally) mashed, and others were a tad undercooked. I hate undercooked potatoes. It throws the texture of the whole burrito off. And they weren't seasoned, at all. I know burritos. I'm a big fan of some of the places in Albuquerque. This may be one of the better burrito places in RR, but there are a lot better places in ABQ. Just sayin'.

Hands down the worst breakfast burritos my wife and I have ever had here in NM. The lady working the drive through was nice but totally screwed up our order. Both burritos were terrible tasting. I will never come here again.

We love burrito express!! We get burritos for the whole family on the way into work and my two young children love the big breakfast! My husband and I love the egg and chorizo and steak combo with green chile! We haven't gotten one we haven't enjoyed!

My wife brought a couple of their burrito back from her last visit to the 505 and damn, they were awesome! We are pretty opinionated about our burritos here in the Land Of Enchantment and theirs were perfection. Great sauce, great meat, great tortillas! We will definitely be coming back to sample more of what they have to offer on our next visit!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
